Daily from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Extended hours available by arrangement. No appointment needed.

Join for Meals

Families are welcome to dine with residents. Let us know by 10:00 AM and we’ll set an extra place at the table.

Virtual Visits

Can’t visit in person? Our staff will help residents connect via video call. We provide tablets and Wi-Fi assistance.

General Questions

Assisted living (RCFE) provides help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and medication management in a residential, home-like setting. Nursing homes (Skilled Nursing Facilities) provide 24-hour medical care for those with complex medical needs requiring continuous nursing supervision. Velora is an RCFE offering assisted living, memory care, and hospice support coordination — all in a luxury residential environment.

Velora is ideal for seniors who need assistance with daily activities but don’t require 24-hour skilled nursing care. Our residents include those who need help with bathing, dressing, medication management, or meal preparation, as well as seniors with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. We also serve families seeking short-term respite care or hospice support coordination.

Absolutely. We welcome couples and can accommodate them in our larger private suites. Each person receives an individualized care plan, even when sharing a suite, ensuring both partners get exactly the level of support they need.

Daily Life

Yes. Residents are welcome to continue seeing their existing physicians. We coordinate with your doctor’s office for medication orders, health updates, and care plan adjustments. We can also help connect residents with local physicians if needed, and our staff accompanies residents to medical appointments.

We welcome small, well-behaved pets on a case-by-case basis. We understand that pets are family, and we work with residents to accommodate their furry companions whenever possible. A pet care plan is established during the admissions process to ensure the comfort of both the pet and fellow residents.

Yes, residents are free to come and go with family members. We also organize regular group outings to local restaurants, parks, shopping, and community events. For memory care residents, supervised outings are coordinated with family for safety.

Safety & Medical Care

Every suite has an emergency call system. Our staff is trained in first aid and CPR. In emergencies, we call 911 immediately and notify the resident’s family and physician. Our AI health monitoring system also provides early detection of potential health concerns, helping us intervene before situations become emergencies.

Velora maintains staff ratios that exceed California requirements. Our assisted living wing maintains approximately a 1:6 ratio during daytime hours, while our memory care wing operates at approximately 1:4. Night shifts maintain at least two staff members on duty at all times. These ratios ensure every resident receives attentive, personalized care.

Our trained medication technicians administer all prescribed medications according to physician orders. We use an electronic medication administration record (eMAR) system that tracks every dose and alerts staff to potential interactions. Families and physicians receive regular medication reports, and our AI system monitors for patterns that may indicate medication adjustments are needed.

Visiting & Communication

Family and friends are welcome daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Extended visiting hours can be arranged for special circumstances — just speak with our care team. We believe maintaining strong family connections is essential to resident well-being, and our door is always open.

Through our Family Portal, you’ll have access to daily care logs, activity updates, and photos. We provide monthly wellness reports summarizing health trends and care plan progress. Our care team is also available by phone anytime, and we proactively reach out if there are any changes in your loved one’s condition. Quarterly care conferences offer dedicated time for in-depth discussions.
